Yarra Ranges Shire Community

Yarra Ranges Council has an approximate area of 2,500 km².

It is comprised of 52 suburbs including Badger Creek, Beenak, Belgrave, Belgrave Heights, Belgrave South, Big Pats Creek, Chirnside Park, Chum Creek, Coldstream, Dixons Creek, Don Valley, Fernshaw, Ferny Creek, Gilderoy, Gladysdale, Gruyere, Hoddles Creek, Kallista, Kalorama, Launching Place, Lilydale, Macclesfield, Millgrove, Monbulk and Montrose plus parts of another 8 suburbs.

It is comprised of the localities of Cambarville, East Warburton, Healesville, Mcmahons Creek, Reefton and Warburton plus parts of Toolangi, Toorongo and Woods Point.

It is surrounded by the councils of Baw Baw Shire, Cardinia Shire, Casey City, Knox City, Lake Mountain Alpine Resort, Manningham City, Mansfield Shire, Maroondah City, Murrindindi Shire and Nillumbik Shire.

It is comprised of the state electorates of Evelyn and Monbulk plus parts of Croydon and Eildon.

It is comprised of parts of the federal electorates of Casey and La Trobe.
