Moorabool Shire Community

Moorabool Council has an approximate area of 2,100 km².

It is comprised of 46 suburbs including Bacchus Marsh, Balliang East, Barkstead, Barrys Reef, Beremboke, Blackwood, Blakeville, Bolwarrah, Bunding, Bungal, Bungaree, Cargerie, Clarendon, Claretown, Clarkes Hill, Coimadai, Colbrook, Dales Creek, Darley, Dunnstown, Elaine, Fiskville, Glenmore, Gordon and Greendale plus parts of another 14 suburbs.

It is comprised of the localities of Ballan and Lerderderg plus parts of Balliang.

It is surrounded by the councils of Ballarat City, Golden Plains Shire, Greater Geelong City, Hepburn Shire, Macedon Ranges Shire, Melton City and Wyndham City.

It is comprised of parts of the state electorates of Buninyong, Macedon and Melton.

It is within the federal electorate of Ballarat.
