Macedon Ranges Shire Community

Macedon Ranges Council has an approximate area of 1,700 km².

It is comprised of 37 suburbs including Ashbourne, Baynton, Baynton East, Benloch, Bolinda, Bullengarook, Cadello, Carlsruhe, Cherokee, Chintin, Cobaw, Darraweit Guim, Edgecombe, Gisborne, Gisborne South, Goldie, Hesket, Kerrie, Kyneton, Kyneton South, Lauriston, Macedon, Monegeetta, Mount Macedon and New Gisborne plus parts of another 9 suburbs.

It is comprised of the locality of Lancefield.

It is surrounded by the councils of Hepburn Shire, Hume City, Melton City, Mitchell Shire, Moorabool Shire and Mount Alexander Shire.

It is within the state electorate of Macedon.

It is comprised of parts of the federal electorates of Bendigo and Mcewen.
