Mitchell Shire Community

Mitchell Council has an approximate area of 2,900 km².

It is comprised of the suburbs of Broadford, Forbes, Glenhope, Glenhope East, Heathcote Junction, Heathcote South, High Camp, Hilldene, Kilmore, Kilmore East, Moranding, Northwood, Nulla Vale, Pyalong, Reedy Creek, Seymour, Sugarloaf Creek, Sunday Creek, Trawool, Tyaak, Upper Plenty, Wallan, Wandong, Waterford Park and Willowmavin plus parts of 5 suburbs including Beveridge, Bylands, Highlands, Mangalore and Tarcombe.

It is comprised of the localities of Clonbinane, Glenaroua, Puckapunyal, Tallarook, Tooborac and Whiteheads Creek plus parts of Avenel, Flowerdale and Mia Mia.

It is surrounded by the councils of City Of Whittlesea, Greater Bendigo City, Hume City, Macedon Ranges Shire, Mount Alexander Shire, Murrindindi Shire and Strathbogie Shire.

It is comprised of parts of the state electorates of Euroa and Yan Yean.

It is comprised of parts of the federal electorates of Bendigo and Mcewen.
