About Us

The Mobile Women's Health Service is a network of specially trained women’s health nurses who provide a FREE and confidential Well Women’s Clinic to Central Queensland women. 

Services provided by the Mobile Women's Health nurse practitioner include:

  • Assessment of menstrual problems, abnormal bleeding etc.
  • Cervical screening (Pap smears)
  • Contraception advice, including Implanon and Mirena
  • Gynaecological referral as required
  • Information about menopause and hormone replacement
  • Information and support on women's health issues
  • Pelvic-floor muscle training and continence promotion
  • Sexual Health testing and treatment

Do I need a Cervical Screening Test?

If you are a woman aged 25-74 years of age you should have a Cervical Screening Test every five years until the age of 74.

Your first Cervical Screening Test is due at 25 years of age or two years after your last Pap test. If your result is normal you will be due in five years to have your next test.
