Cairns Concert Orchestra

Cairns Concert Orchestra have been performing for the Cairns community for over 50 years. We are volunteer run, community-based string ensemble welcoming competent string players of all ages. We perform 3-4 major concerts per year. Rehearsals are Monday 7-9pm during school terms. New members always welcome. It is expected that players can sight read music and perform at Level 5 or above. New members will be placed by the conductor in a suitable section based on their experience and the best balance of sound for the group. Membership is $200 per year, with reduced cost available for concession, students and financial hardship.
