parkrun - Roma

This is a two loop course that heads out and returns a similar way. The course commences on the Adungadoo Pathway across from the train bridge in the Big Rig parklands. It continues along the concrete pathway following the Adungadoo Pathway all the way until a Y section with the path before the Bungil footbridge that leads up onto Bungil St. Running along the side of the road. Turn right and follow Bungil street all the way until the 1st turn around point when Bungil street ends and turns to dirt (there is also a Road Closed sign here). Follow Bungil street back the same way you ran out and duck down back onto the Adungadoo pathway again the same way you ran up. Follow the Adungadoo back towards the start of parkrun where you will see the 2nd turnaround point to the right of the path just before the start line. Then head back along the Adungadoo pathway until you reach the Y section, this time turning left to head under the Bungil footbridge following the path until the final turn around point where the pathway ends. Once you have turned around follow the Adungadoo pathway back to the finish line between the two trees you started from! Facilities The Big Rig Parklands has toilet facilities, car parking facilities, water bubblers and a café onsite. Facilities within theBig Rig parklands are very suitable for children and include a large grassed area which could be used as a children's play area. Getting There Location of start The run starts on the opposite side of the train bridge along the Adungadoo Pathway. You will see the train bridge if you follow the train track lines that start at the public toilets and follow a loop across the train bridge. Getting there by public transport Unfortunately Roma does not have any public transport, only Taxis. Getting there on foot Depending on where you are staying in town, the Big Rig is no more than a 3km run to the start line. So if you are keen and don't mind an earlier start, why not jog down!? Getting there by road The Roma Big Rig parklands is located at 2 Riggers Rd, Roma, QLD, 4455. If using SATNAV, the nearest postcode is 4455. From the major motorway you enter to town on (Warrego Highway)?and the Big Rig parklands is on the right hand side of the road. It is literally at the entrance of town.
