parkrun - Mount Beauty

This is an out and back course. Starting at the BBQ shelter at the Bicentennial Park on Lakeside Ave, Mount Beauty. The course heads clockwise around the pondage, across the causeway, keeping the pondage on your right, across another causeway and continuing on to the bollards (opposite the NE Water Treatment Plant). Do a U turn around the bollards. Return via the same route keeping the pondage on the left, finishing at the BBQ shelter. The course is flat and clear with magnificent views of Mount Bogong, the highest peak in Victoria. Facilities: There are toilets nearby to the Bicentennial Park, BBQ shelter. Getting There: Location of start: The run starts from the BBQ shelter at the Bicentennial Park on Lakeside Ave, Mount Beauty. Getting there on foot: From Tawonga South head south along the Kiewa Valley Hwy to cross the foot bridge and turn left. Cross the road near the exercise equipment, turn right around the pondage, keeping it on your left through to the start area, at the Bicentennial Park. Getting there by road: Upon entering the township of Mt Beauty, turn left at the roundabout on to Lakeside Avenue. Follow the road to the left past the swimming pool, schools, oval and Childcare Centre, turn left at the library. Car Parking is free and is available at the Bicentennial Park BBQ and playground area.
