Central Desert Region Community

Central Desert Council has an approximate area of 281,000 km².

It is comprised of the suburbs of Atitjere, Engawala, Laramba, Nyirripi, Ti Tree, Willowra, Wilora, Yuelamu and Yuendumu.

It is comprised of the localities of Anatye, Anmatjere, Chilla Well, Hart, Lajamanu and Tanami plus parts of Gurindji, Lake Mackay and Sandover.

It is surrounded by the councils of Barkly Region, Boulia, East Pilbara, Macdonnell Region and Victoria Daly Region.

It is comprised of parts of the state electorates of Namatjira and Stuart.

It is within the federal electorate of Lingiari.
