Subacute Rehabilitation

Also known as SAR, is the complex care (subacute) services that support people in maximising their independence and functioning, and minimising long-term health needs.

Rehabilitation and complex care are a diverse group of services promoting effective seamless care, from acute care back into the community. These services are provided in hospitals, community rehabilitation centres and in people’s homes.
